    KOHS Grad Jim Parsons Wins Emmy

    Jim Parsons won an Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory. Even before winning the Emmy, Parsons described the role of Sheldon as “the most important thing that’s ever happened to me.”

    Rosler Family Starts the Year Together at Kaiser

    On the first day of school, Klein ISD central office personnel typically volunteer at district schools, assisting parents and children. This year, the Klein budget director Ms. Beth Rosler chose to volunteer at Kaiser where her daughter Katy Rosler was beginning her teaching career.

    Klein Forest High School freshmen participated in an orientation day on August 20. Students followed a shortened class schedule to learn the basics for high school success that included time management, class rank, participation in school activities, and understanding the student handbook.

    Houston Open set to draw big

    The first Houston Open Ring Nationals will be held Sept. 3-5 at the Legends Sports Complex. The tournament will see male and female boxers of all ages and weight divisions compete in both the open and novice classes.

    City pays tribute to police dog

    Demolition Begins at Klein High School

    On August 18, demolition of Klein High School began. Initial buildings to be demolished are the one-story building that contained the administrative offices and the two-story classroom complex that contained the library. The multi-day process is a major step in the rebuilding of Klein High School as approved by the KISD Board of Trustees.
