Football star turned Spring resident to wed
A former high school football standout and his fiance applied for a marriage license yesterday.
Micah Woods and Jonquil Bass, both Spring residents, applied for the license yesterday with the Harris County Clerk's Office.
Woods, 26, is a 2002 graduate of Sterling High School near Hobby Airport and was a two-star recruit. He was ranked 90th in the country at his position of inside linebacker.
He went on to play for two seasons with Colorado State University.
In addition to CSU, Woods was recruited by UCLA, Penn State, Colorado and Tennessee.
