Fundraiser to benefit cancer patient
The MOMS Club of Spring-SW, Texas will be holding a I Pink I Can, I Pink I Can-themed Bunco night benefiting Allison Stitton at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Houstons John Wesley United Methodist Church.
Stitton, a mother of two, is currently fighting her second battle with breast cancer. After undergoing treatments in 2005 at MD Andersons Cancer Center, including chemo, radiation and a double mastectomy, Stitton's cancer went into remission.
However, this past July Stitton's doctors informed her that the cancer had returned. She is currently undergoing treatment again at MD Anderson.
Bunco Night tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. The silent auction will include themed gift baskets containing local restaurant gift cards, cosmetics and tickets to local sporting events.
For those interested in directly donating on Sitton's behalf to the I Pink I Can, I Pink I Can benefit, can make checks payable to MOMS Club of Spring - SW, TX and mail it to 9727 Audubon Park Drive, Spring, TX 77379. All donations are tax deductible, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to Stitton and her family.
