Former airline employee sues over buddy pass use
A former Continental employee is suing a man and alleging that she was fired from her job because he transferred an airline pass to another party.
Vicky Johnston filed a lawsuit on Oct. 19 in the Harris County District Court against John Birks, Revnew International LLC and Profit Technologies LLC, claiming breach of contract.
Johnston says that Birks was given her buddy pass to travel but transferred the pass to someone else without her knowledge and going against their agreement. His actions resulted in her allegedly being fired from the airline in 2007.
The plaintiff is seeking damages including actual damages, loss of earnings in the past and future, mental anguish in the past and future, court costs and any other damages she is entitled to by the court.
The plaintiff is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Edward C. Burwell.
