Spring resident sues nursing home for father's death
A man is suing a nursing home after his father died.
Larry York Jr., filed suit in Harris County District Court on Oct. 28, stating that Villa Toscana at Cypress Woods violated the law by failing to ensure nursing home personnel sufficiently cared for his father.
In his suit, York alleges his father died as a result of the nursing homes failure to provide appropriate catheter care, to administer his medication and to prevent infection.
It was the responsibility of the nursing home, he asserts, to offer his father appropriate medical care, including kindness and respect.
York is being represented by Houston attorney Ray Camberg. He is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as court costs and attorneys fees.
