Salute to Veterans Breakfast draws over 100 veterans
Members of the Heritage Trails Daughters of the American Revolution chapter served as hostesses to more than 100 veterans and active military for the annual Klein ISD Salute to Veterans Breakfast and Pass and Review Ceremony.
The breakfast, held at Kleb Intermediate School, saluted the veterans and the military for their service to the United States. Community groups and leaders and Klein I.S.D. personnel were also in attendance.
As part of the holiday season, the DAR will decorate the Fisher House on Dec. 4 and will serve as hostesses for the Veterans Patient Christmas Party at the Michael E. DeBakey Hospital the same day.
Many wreaths have been purchased to lay on the graves of soldiers during the Wreaths Across America ceremonies at the Houston National Cemetery on Dec. 11 and 16.
