Education grants available for Spring area groups

Groups in the Spring area are being encouraged to apply for educational grants to aid women.

The North Harris County branch of the American Association of University Women is accepting grant applications from local organizations and groups. Grants will be provided to educational projects which follow the AAUW's misson of promoting “equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.”

Money for the grants is raised by the non-profit educational association through its fundraising efforts.

Grant applications must be completed and received by Feb. 15, 2011. Grants will be awarded in May 2011.
