Klein Oak named Army Strong Team of the Week
The Klein Oak High School Panthers football team has been named the Army Strong Team of the Week for Division 5A by Dave Campbell's Texas Football.
The Panthers were chosen for this honor because of its teamwork, dedication, discipline, personal courage and integrity, values shared by U.S. Army Soldiers.
Klein Oak's defense sacked The Woodlands quarterback Joseph Schneider six times en route to a 31-14 first-round upset in the Class 5A Division I playoffs. E.J. Fatu led Klein Oak's offense with 101 rushing yards on 19 carries, said Adam Hochfelder, general manager of Dave Campbell's Texas Football. Klein Oak improved to 8-3 while handing The Woodlands its first loss. Klein Oak will face Stony Point in the second round.
A U.S. Army representative will present the team with a special plaque.
