Texas Rep Theatre to stage "Bus Stop" beginning Friday
The Texas Repertory Theatre Co. will begin its production of William Inge’s comedy Bus Stop on Friday, Jan. 28.
Bus Stop is the story of Cherie, a small-time nightclub chanteuse, and her cowboy-turned-kidnapper beau. Trapped in a howling snowstorm, a group of people has to hole up in a small Kansas restaurant until morning, which brings about conflicts and complications. The production features a cast of Houston theater notables, all under the direction of Associate Artistic Director Steven Fenley.
Bus Stop will preview on Thursday, Jan. 27, and run four performances a week through Feb. 20. The Thursday shows start at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday shows start at 8 p.m., and Sunday shows start at 3 p.m.
The price for admission to the preview performance is $25. The opening night gala is $45. Regular admission prices will be $35 and there will be student and senior discounts.
The Texas Repertory is in its sixth season and continues to produce year-round theatrical entertainment that revives the classic plays from American theater.
The Texas Repertory is located in Northwoods Plaza at 14243 Stuebner Airline Road in the Spring area.
