HS girls basketball: Dekaney defeats Spring
Dekaney trounced Spring 44-27 in District 13-5A high school girls basketball action on Friday.
Spring fell behind by 10 at the half and the Lions were unable to make any sort of comeback.
The win ups Dekaney to 28-4 on the season and a perfect 11-0 in district play.
Shunta Nevitt scored 15 points in the victory. Alexis Durley also contributed 14.
Dekaney will next visit Klein Forest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops Spring to 15-14 on the season and 3-8 in district play.
Senior Khalisha Lee registered nine points in the loss.
Spring will next host Klein Oak on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
