Where's the cheapest gas in Spring?
Despite climbing prices, the cost of gas in Spring is still lower than average for the Houston area and the rest of the nation.
The price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline on March 15 stood at around $3.412. That figure is based on an average of prices reported at 58 stations by users of gasbuddy.com. Last week's average was about $3.364.
By comparison, the site reports the average cost of gas for the Houston area to be a bit higher at $3.439. The average for Texas is $3.425 and for the nation as a whole is $3.535.
Spring's cheapest gas was available at the McFood Store at 9440 Louetta Road. The price there was reported to be $3.29 per gallon.
The highest reported price was at the Chevron station at 17627 Kuykendahl Road, where regular unleaded was said to cost $3.59. It was also the most expensive station last week.
