Church's Chicken location passes restaurant inspection
A local Church's Chicken restaurant recently passed its regular food safety inspection, though one problem did need to be fixed on site.
The Church's at 14850 N. Freeway was visited by Harris County officials on Feb. 10. They gave the establishment six demerits out of a possible 100. A business must receive 20 demerits to be considered "of concern" and in need of a follow-up visit.
According to an official report, three demerits were given because the location's hand-washing facilities were not "adequate and accessible." Inspectors indicated this violation was corrected while they were there. The other demerits were given for problems with the restaurant's thermometers.
The score of six demerits is the lowest this Church's location has received in the past year. According to the county website, it earned four demerits in October 2010 and had a perfect score in April 2010.
