HS girls softball: Spring falls to Tomball
Spring fell to Tomball in District 13-5A high school girls softball action on Friday, as Tomball slugged its way to a 10-1 victory.
The loss drops Spring to 3-10 overall and 0-4 in district play.
Haley Vavra took the loss for the Lions.
Spring will next visit Klein Oak on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The win ups Tomball to 17-2 overall and 5-0 in district play.
Pitcher Michelle Quinn struck out 11 batters on her way to picking up the win for the Cougars.
Alyssa Bass, Kaitlyn Doerre and Kandace Park all homered in the victory.
Tomball will next visit Klein on Friday at 7 p.m.
