Spring HS alum Phillip Butler leads Shawnee State in hits and RBIs
Spring High School graduate Phillip Butler helped Shawnee State defeat the University of the Cumberlands, 5-4, in college baseball action on Sunday.
Butler, a senior catcher, went 2-for-2 with a double and a run batted in. Bultler leads the team with 54 hits and 50 RBIs on the season.
Phillip lettered two years at Spring High School and was captain of the team. In 2006, Phillip earned first-team All-District honors and played in the Houston Area All-Star game.
