Spring company blamed for Woodlands water leak
An insurance company is suing after, it says, water leaking from a defectively manufactured and improperly installed ice maker damaged a home in The Woodlands.
National Lloyds Insurance Co., as subrogee of Michael and Patricia Booker, filed a lawsuit on June 9 in Harris County District Court against Home Everything, Elite Home Installations, French Services, of Spring, and Seasonal Comfort, alleging negligence.
The plaintiff says that on March 9, 2011, a large water leak, originating from a defective ice maker the Bookers purchased from Home Everything, caused damage to their home in The Woodlands. According to the brief, Elite Home Installation improperly installed the defective ice maker, connecting it with a supply line that was clearly stamped, “Do Not Use for Ice Maker.”
The plaintiff is seeking damages and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Irving attorney Amy Wright.
