Spring Valley construction company sued over Spring, Tomball projects
A Spring Valley construction company, and others, are being sued over engineering designs for projects in Spring and Tomball.
H.P. Steel Inc. filed a lawsuit on June 13 in Harris County District Court against M.L. Deer Construction, of Spring Valley, Tomball Partners, 488 North Freeway, Marc Deer and Richard Rolland citing, among other things, violations of the Construction Trust Funds Act, breach of contract and common law fraud.
H.P. Steel says that in 2008, it provided the defendants with engineering drawings and schematics for the construction of steel-framed buildings at 23023 I-45 in Spring and 2295 Tomball Parkway in Tomball. According to the brief, the defendants breached these agreements by failing to pay in full for H.P. Steel’s services.
H.P. Steel is seeking actual damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Kim Ogg.
