Klein Forest grad completes Air Force basic training
Air Force Airman 1st Class Monique R. Broussard, a Klein Forest alumna, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Broussard completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Broussard earned distinction as an honor graduate.
She is the daughter of Georgia Broussard of Desert Flower Lane in Houston and the sister of Itajha Shields of South Esplanade Lane in Stafford, Texas.
Broussard graduated in 2006 from Klein Forest High School and earned a bachelor's degree in 2010 from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
