Cypress contractor sues Memorial company over Spring-area project
A Cypress-area company is suing after, it says, it was not paid for work completed on a Spring-area project.
Cypress-area Clearwater Utilities filed a lawsuit on June 24 in Harris County District Court against R. Hassell & Co. and Suretec Insurance Co., of Memorial, citing breach of contract.
Clearwater says it was hired by R. Hassell to provide labor and materials on the Spring-Cypress Road to the Klein Independent School District project in Spring and the Sterling Ridge Park and Ride project. According to the brief, the defendants refuse to pay Clearwater for all of the work it provided on these projects, which included installation of water, sanitary sewer and drainage systems.
Clearwater is seeking $52,517.38 in damages plus interest, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by League City attorney Brian Gaudet.
