Westfield High grad completes Air Force basic training
Air Force Airman Tra'von D. Hicks recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Hicks, a 2010 graduate of Westfield High School, completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force.
Hicks is the son of Lawanda Kelley of Ridge Hollow Drive and Terry Hicks of Holly View, both in Houston.
