Spring seniors enjoy jazz and martinis
The Village at Gleannloch Farms recently hosted local duet the Jazz Masters for a night of food and entertainment for its residents.
The Jazz Masters performed dozens of classic hits that traced the evolution of jazz from 1913 to 1983 and also explored pop music such as songs of the Beatles. During two full hours, the group performed the works of Cohen, Gershwin, Clooney, Cline, Lennon and more.
“Our residents love live musical performances, especially if it’s the music they grew up listening and dancing to as young adults,” said Kathy Johanns, executive director of The Village at Gleannloch Farms. “We were very pleased to offer this extraordinary evening of creativity and relaxation to our residents, their friends and families, and just for folks from the local area who love music. The Jazz Masters were just amazing.”
The Village at Gleannloch Farms offers entertainment and educational events on a regular basis, many of which are open to the public.
The Village at Gleannloch Farms is a not-for-profit community offering 123 independent living apartments and cottages for active adults age 62 and older. Additionally, the community offers a continuum of care including 30 assisted living apartments, 18 memory support residences and 35 private skilled nursing suites.
