Rescued dogs visit two Klein ISD schools
Rescued dogs visited students at two Klein ISD school as part of the Dogs of Character program, designed to show students living examples of perserverance, self-worth, loyalty, kindess and service.
The dogs were at Epps Island Elementary and Greenwood Forest Elementary. Students got to hear about the dogs' tough beginnings. Dogs that form part of this program have special needs, have been neglected or have been abused and bullied, and now have a new lease on life. The program aims to teach students a positive message about rescue work, encourages them not to harm animals in any way and teaches them the importance of being responsible pet owners.
