Based on these rates, the average gas price in the area was around $3.061 per gallon. The average for Spring and Klein was lower compared to the Texas ($3.099), Houston ($3.084), and United States ($3.300) averages.

The average for Spring and Klein last week was about $3.041 per gallon.

Sams Club at 19091 Northbound IH-45 Feeder Road in Spring was offering the lowest gas price in the area, at $2.88 per gallon of regular unleaded gas. The cheapest gas rate charged by a regular gas station was $2.95 per gallon, which was reported to be sold by Z Smokers Choice at 25540 Aldine Westfield Road near Louetta Road East.

CITGO at 19704 Kuykendahl Road and Bridgeview Lane and CITGO at 3843 FM-2920 and Falvel Road sold a gallon of regular unleaded gas at $3.29, the most expensive rate in the area.
