Pearl Fincher Museum celebrates year
This year was a good year for the Pearl Fincher museum, 6815 Cypresswood Drive, Spring. More than 80,000 guests have now visited the museum. This included more 1,700 children and families who participated in Drop-In Wednesdays through 2011.
Art came from all over the world, including pieces from the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. Britain, France and The Netherlands were also represented.
On the funding front, the museum received a two-year, $100,000 grant from the Houston Endowment as well as contributions from the Hamill Foundation and the West Endowment.
The Pearl encourages members of the community to join and support the museum's efforts. To make a year-end donation, contact Director Tim Novak at 281-376-6322 or 281-727-9067, or email tnovak@mfah.org. To volunteer, 281-376-6322 and ask for more information about volunteering opportunities.
