Habitat for Humanity to give preview of Hamill Ranch community
Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Harris County will host a media event for the Hamill Ranch and Hamill Crossing communities on Saturday, Jan. 28.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Hamill Ranch, and a preview tour of the Hamill Crossing community.
The events will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Hamill Ranch, located at 5603 Hamill Ranch Lane in Houston.
The tour and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be followed by a volunteer appreciation luncheon.
Hamill Ranch is a 42-home community for families in need of affordable housing.
Construction will begin soon for an academic after-school facility for school-age children located in the community center.
Hamill Crossing, a new community housing project, is a seven-acre lot with one main street located in Northwest Houston.
Habitat for Humanity will begin construction on 46 homes over the next 4-5 years on the property for families in need of affordable housing.
Habitat for Humanity provides funding and volunteer service for the construction of affordable and safe housing.
