Spring company accused of creating nuisance

A Spring company is being sued after neighbors claimed its employees purposefully play music loud enough to be heard from over 40 yards away.

Bainbridge Estates residents Bradley Serres, Tricia Serres and Robert Degeyter, among others, filed a public nuisance suit Feb. 7 in Harris County District Court against Coil Tubing Technology, Jason Swinford, Jerry Swinford and Ronnie Rabel.

The plaintiffs live in a Spring subdivision that shares a fence with the defendants' warehouse, and claim that since August 2011, Coil Tubing employees have played loud music through a sound system late into the night and sometimes into the early morning.

The defendants refuse to turn down the music, even though police have been called at least 14 times, according to the brief.

The suit alleges when one of the plaintiffs complained about the noise to Rabel, he laughed and said it would be the least of the neighborhood's problem because more equipment and loud machinery were going to be moved into the warehouse.

The plaintiffs are seeking injunctive relief, damages, attorney's fees and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney James Dunn.
