Spring ISD hosts outreach walk

The Spring ISD Virtual School held an outreach walk to benefit Project Tomorrow in the neighborhoods surrounding Spring, Dekaney and Westfield high schools Feb. 11.

Project Tomorrow is a virtual school program that provides a no-cost opportunity to earn a diploma to students who have not been enrolled in a Texas Public School for more than 30 consecutive days, are younger than age 26 and reside within the Spring ISD.

The program has been made possible by a grant for Online Learning and Dropout Recovery that was awarded by Texas Virtual School Network at Region 10 Education Service Center.

All of the coursework is offered in an online environment taught by certified Spring ISD instructors. After completing the coursework and state assessments, students receive their Texas high school diploma.

For more information about Spring ISD Virtual School and Project Tomorrow, call 281-891-6223. There are registrations and orientations held on the fourth Thursday of every month from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and the fourth Saturday of every month from 1-3 p.m.
