Klein students place in foreign language competition
Klein Oak High School students placed in several categories in the 2012 Farrington Contest, a language competition, on Jan. 28.
Klein Oak's Dianyane Aguirre took home first place in the Advanced Spanish for Heritage Speakers division, and Albea Romero finished as a finalist. Eber Serrano was also a finalist in the Intermediate Spanish for Heritage Speakers division.
The competition, sponsored by Houston Area Teachers of Foreign Language, featured more than 350 competing students from across the Houston area, according to the press release.
