Spring Walmart blamed for knee injury
Walmart is being sued over claims its failure to provide a safe shopping environment at its Spring location caused a customer to injure her knee.
Torea Raimey filed a lawsuit on Feb. 16 in Harris County District Court against Walmart Stores, citing negligence.
Raimey says on June 26, 2010, she suffered a serious knee injury while shopping at Walmart, located at 3450 FM 60 in Spring. According to the brief, she slipped forward in a water spill and landed hard on her right knee.
The suit alleges she continues to walk with a limp and a surgeon recommended she undergo an operation.
Raimey is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Rick Oliver.
