Farouk donates $20,000 to cancer organization
Farouk Systems, makers of CHI and BioSilk products, recently donated $20,000 to The Rose, a Houston nonprofit breast cancer organization.
The funds came as a result of sales of the company's 2011 Limited Edition Breast Cancer Collections, which included the CHI Pink Lace Hairstyling Iron and CHI Pink Lace Dryer. Both products featured The Rose logo.
"We are very proud of our partnership with The Rose," said Farouk Shami, founder and chairman of Farouk Systems, in a press release. "We appreciate all this organization does in the fight against breast cancer and to assist the needy in our community, in Houston and in our great state of Texas."
Farouk employs workers in the Houston area.
