Surgical center sues Spring contractor over floor install

A Spring contractor is being sued over claims it improperly installed a floor in a local surgical center.

Mid-Town Surgical Center filed a lawsuit on Thursday, Feb. 23 in the Harris County District Court against Rhodes Unlimited Construction Services, of Spring, citing breach of warranty, breach of contract and negligence.

Mid-Town says it hired Rhodes Construction to replace a floor at its Jackson Street location. According to the brief, the floor installed by Rhodes is buckled and detached from the building slab, posing a danger to the patients of the center.

Mid-Town is seeking damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney William Luck Jr.
