Spring homeowners' association sues resident over exterior boards
A Spring-area homeowners' association is suing after, it says, a resident refused to repair the outside of his residence.
Sunbury States Community Improvement Association filed a lawsuit on Friday, March 30 in the Harris County District Court against Christopher G. Oliver, citing breach of contract.
Sunbury States says Oliver is lowering neighborhood property values by refusing to replace rotting soffit boards on his home, located in the 2200 block of Peachglen Lane in Spring. According to the brief, Oliver's failure to make these repairs violates the restrictive covenants of the subdivision.
Sunbury is seeking injunctive relief, fines, attorney's fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Brian Holland.
