Haude Elementary Jogging Club logs more than 900 miles
Physical education teachers Jennifer Elder, Denise Passmore and Connie Picard began a jogging club for second and third graders and their families at Haude Elementary.
Since its inception in October 2011, more than 60 students have logged more than 943 miles.
The club, which seeks to promote cardiovascular fitness and behavior changes both in and outside school, will run through April 24. Students and parents meet at 7:20 a.m. every Tuesday and jog around the field during nice weather or in the gym on rainy days.
