LSC to partner with Brazil's Institute of Petroleum

Lone Star College System Chancellor Dr. Richard Carpenter and Houston Mayor Annise Parker have signed a memorandum of understanding in Brazil with the country's Institute of Petroleum for the third time.

The partnership between Lone Star College and Brazil's Institute of Petroleum will further opportunities in training oil and gas workers.

Brazil's Institute of Petroleum brings together almost 200 companies in the oil, gas, petrochemical and biofuel industries and aims to boost industry development in the country. Additionally, U.S. oil and gas companies are taking the necessary steps to better staff their operations off Brazil's coast.
