KC Michel inducted into color guard hall of fame
KC Michel, Westfield High School color guard director, has been inducted into the Texas Color Guard Circuit Hall of Fame.
He was honored with the award during the 2012 state championship award ceremony on April 1. The championship took place at Pearland High School, located at 3775 S. Main St. in Pearland.
During his tenure as the Westfield color guard director, from 1995-2002 and 2008 to the present, Michel has lead the team to 10 state championships. According to a press release, other reasons for his induction included many years of dedication to directing quality performances, supporting the state organization and mentoring his peers.
This is the inaugural year of the hall of fame, and Michel was one of two people inducted.
