Spring couple accuses contractor of shoddy work
A couple is suing over claims a contractor damaged their Spring-area home.
Samuel and Anne Marie Pierce filed a lawsuit on Friday, April 13 in the Harris County District Court against Chalet Construction, citing breach of contract, breach of warranty, fraud, negligent misrepresentation and violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
The Pierces say they hired Chalet Construction to complete $252,790 worth of repairs to their Pebble Beach home in Spring. According to the brief, the alleged substandard work Chalet performed, including installing a new air conditioner, Jacuzzi tub and shower, damaged the house.
The Pierces are seeking attorney's fees, damages and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney David McDowell.
