Mall, library join to celebrate World Book Night
Volunteers from the Barbara Bush Friends of the Library and Cypress Creek Friends of the Library will meet at Willowbrook Mall to celebrate World Book Night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, April 23 at the mall, located at 2000 Willowbrook Mall.
According to a press release, World Book Night is held to promote the value of reading, printed books, bookstores and libraries.
At the event, 50 copies of "Ender's Game" will be given away for free. The book will be one of 30 promoted during the event. The books will be located on a table near the customer service center in the Center Court and will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
World Book Night was launched in 2011 in the United Kingdom and this year will be celebrated in the United States and Ireland. For more information about the event visit www.worldbooknight.org.
