Willowbrook Mall to salute law enforcement
Willowbrook Mall's 2012 Salute to Law Enforcement is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2.
According to a press release, the event will feature 100 different agencies, more than 200 officers and more than 90 exhibits. It will begin with a parade starting near Los Cucos, the presentation of the flag and the Meyer Elementary School Choir singing the national anthem.
The opening ceremony will also feature the announcement of the winner of the Chief Alan Bragg Salute to Law Enforcement, awarded to an area student who is pursuing a career in criminal justice.
Other activities include a child car seat safety check (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), child fingerprinting, officers on horseback, drug-sniffing dogs, SWAT teams, secret service, beat offices, EMTs and more.
Admission is free. The event will take place at 2000 Willowbrook Mall.
