KISD musicals take home Tommy Tune Awards
Four awards were given to Klein Independent School District productions at the 10th annual Tommy Tune Awards on Tuesday, April 17 at the Houston Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
Klein High School won Best Ensemble/Chorus and Best Direction for "Once Upon a Mattress," Klein Forest's "Seussical the Musical" won Best Lighting, and Morgan Starr of Klein Oak won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Smitty in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." KHS senior Shelby Stark was also one of 10 students awarded a scholarship.
