Klein Oak golfers sweep districts

After competing in the 2012 13-A district golf championships April 11-12, the Klein Oak boys and girls varsity golf teams captured the district title.

The Panthers completed with a total score of 582, just three strokes ahead of Klein High School in second place. The Lady Panthers took first with a 665 finish. This is the seventh straight district title for the boys and fifth for the girls.

Klein Collins golfer Logan Hess won the boys title with a two-day total of 140, and Miranda Juarez won the girls title with a total of 149.

Girls and boys teams from both high schools advanced to the regionals competition April 17-18, playing at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course and Twin Rivers Golf Course, both in Waco, respectively.
