Spring woman sues after elevator incident

A Spring resident is suing over claims she suffered serious injuries while riding the elevator at a Houston-area business school.

Spring resident Karen Rivera filed a premises liability lawsuit on April 20 in the Harris County District Court against Kaplan Inc., doing business as Texas School of Business, and Tejas Elevator.

Rivera says on April 22, 2010, she suffered serious injuries as a student at Texas School of Business. According to the brief, she was on the elevator in the school when it did not stop flush to the floor.

Rivera is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Michael Nacol.
