Spring ISD to celebrate GenTX Day
The Spring ISD will participate in GenTX Day by inviting staff, students, parents and the community to wear a college T-shirt on Friday, May 4.
The event is sponsored by the GenTX initiative, and is intended to remind K-12 students of the importance of preparing for a college career or post-secondary education.
“Wearing a college t-shirt on May 4 is a simple gesture that can send a powerful message when done all together as part of a large group,” said Dr. Dalane Bouillion, Spring ISD Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instructional Services.
GenTX is a project funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, which promotes higher education among K-12 students in the state of Texas.
