Spring ISD art on display

Artwork by Spring ISD students, from kindergarten to 12th grade, is currently on display at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center.

Ten students earned Best of Show awards for their entries in the following categories: Primary -- Xitalie Martinez, kindergarten, McNabb Elementary School; Intermediate – Samuel Arguello, third grade, Booker Elementary School; Middle School 2-D – Sofia Sanhueza, eighth grade, Roberson Middle School; Middle School 3-D – Joshua Ashley, eighth grade, Roberson Middle School; Middle School Digital Photography/Electronic Media – Jayda Ellis, eighth grade Roberson Middle School; High School Art 1 – Peter Dang, 12th grade, Carl Wunsche Sr. High School; High School Painting – Victoria Archie, 12th grade, Spring High School; High School Drawing – Kennetra Ellis, 11th grade, Dekaney High School; High School 3-D – Monica De La Torre, 11th grade, Dekaney High School; and High School Photography – Chris Chaires, 11th grade, Carl Wunsche Senior High School.

Outstanding Art Student winners are also featured. The Outstanding Art Students are Audrey Wagstaff, Bailey Middle School; Nhu Giang, Claughton Middle School; Allana Hensley, Dueitt Middle School; Ryan Perez, Roberson Middle School; Kaleil Wilson, Twin Creeks Middle School; Sidney San, Wells Middle School; Lenzie Russell, Early College Academy; Itzel Garza, Spring High School; Janel Mosqueda, Westfield High School; and Taylor Ransom, Wunsche High School.

The art will be on display during regular business hours through Friday, May 11. The center is located at 16717 Ella Blvd.
