Detectives search for indecent exposure suspect

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit is searching for a man accused of exposing himself to children at a bookstore in the 5300 block of West FM 1960.

According to a sheriff’s department news release, at about noon April 28, deputies were called to Barnes and Noble concerning a man in the children’s book area “touching himself inappropriately.”

The store manager told detectives he confronted the man and asked if he could help him find a book. The man responded, “Oh here it is,” and then quickly left the building.

The man, now wanted by authorities for indecent exposure, is described as a Caucasian male in his early 30s, with a stocky frame, brown hair and both sides of his head shaved. He was clad in a long white hooded sweatshirt, dark knee-length work-out shorts and flip flops.

Anyone with knowledge about the man’s identity is asked to contact the HCSO Crimes Against Children Division at 713-830-3250.
