Armed Forces Day events to honor area veterans

Independent senior retirement community Paradise Springs will host Armed Forces Day events from Friday, May 18 through Sunday, May 20 in honor of area veterans.

The special events kick off with a Wall of Honor dedication at 10 a.m. on May 18. Paradise Springs will serve snacks and punch.

An Armed Forces Celebration featuring a BBQ lunch and patriotic entertainment will be held at noon on May 19.

To close the weekend, a seminar shedding light on little-known VA benefits will be held at 10 a.m. on May 20.

Admission to Armed Forces Day events is free, but RSVPs are requested. To RSVP, call 281-376-5949.
