Dekaney High announces top two graduates

Andy Dekaney High School has named Mohammad Adil and Cari Ngo as its 2012 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Adil plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and is pursuing a degree in pharmacy studies. For his college costs, he received eight scholarships totaling more than $26,000, among them the State Top 10 percent, $2,000; Alpha Phi Alpha Scholarship, $1,000; and the Andy Dekaney Memorial Scholarship, $1,000.

Ngo will attend the University of Houston in the fall and earned an $18,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship for college costs.
