The Village at Gleannloch Farms announces June activities
A variety of activities are planned for Gleannloch Farms in June.
From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 5, a weather-preparedness seminar will be held. Jill F. Hasling, president of the Weather Research Center, will share tips for how families can be ready for hurricane weather. The discussion is limited to 50 people; reserve a spot by calling 877-312-2140.
At 3 p.m. June 8, author Marcia Bennett will read from her book (ital)Umbrella Town(ital), which won first prize at the Katherine Anne Porter Literary Festival. The reading is free and open to the public.
Gleannloch Farms will host a BBQ patio party from 4-6 p.m. June 14. The free event will feature grilled food, musical entertainment and a putting contest.
A workshop on downsizing, packing and moving will take place from 1:30-4 p.m. June 20. Local experts will be on hand to answer questions.
