Spring apartments sued after 6-year-old boy drowns
A mother is suing after her 6-year-old son drowned in a Spring-area swimming pool.
Taheerah Akilah Mahdi, individually and on behalf of the deceased Troy Lott Jr., filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Wednesday, May 30 in the Harris County District Court against Centaurus Trails at Dominion in Spring, among others.
Mahdi says on May 19, Troy Lott Jr. drowned while swimming in a pool at the Trails at Dominion Park, located at 200 Dominion Park in Spring. Lott drowned because apartment managers failed to offer swimmers a safe pool environment and proper safety equipment, according to the brief.
Mahdi is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Corpus Christi attorney Reynaldo Pena.
