Spring Wal-Mart named in slip-and-fall suit

Wal-Mart is being sued over claims it failed to provide customers with a safe shopping environment at its Spring location.

Hermelinda Clifton filed a lawsuit on Thursday, June 7 in the Harris County District Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., citing negligence.

Clifton says on April 12, 2011, she was seriously injured while shopping at the Spring-area Wal-Mart, located at 155 Louetta Crossing. According to the brief, she slipped and fell on a clear liquid left carelessly on the floor.
