Klein alum plates four in RockHounds victory
Jeremy Barfield, a 2006 graduate of Klein High School, drove in four runs to lead the Midland RockHounds to a 10-2 victory over the Frisco Roughriders in Double-A Texas League action on Wednesday.
The second baseman went 2-5 with a homer and has recorded multiple hits in back-to-back games.
On the season, Barfield has hit .300 with seven home runs and 37 RBI in just 35 games.
Barfield was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the eighth round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft after playing his college ball at San Jacinto College North.
He is the son of former All-Star Jesse Barfield and brother of Major League infielder Josh Barfield.
