Klein HS grad David Murphy helps Rangers take down San Diego
Klein High School graduate David Murphy and the Rangers beat the Padres, 4-2, Wednesday.
Murphy went 1-for-1, with a run scored and a walk in the victory.
On the season, Murphy is batting .382, with seven home runs and 22 RBIs.
Murphy was born October 18, 1981, in Houston.
He played high school baseball with fellow Major League Baseball player, Josh Barfield, at Klein High School, and played college baseball at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He was drafted in the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft by the Boston Red Sox. In 2007 Murphy was traded to the Texas Rangers.
